Bernardo Pacquing (b. 1967, Tarlac) is inspired by the minutiae of urban life. These remnants of the passage of time and human presence delight Pacquing, who seeks to bring to our attention these details that we often overlook amid the fast-paced passing of days. Pacquing is a recipient of the CCP’s Thirteen Artists Award in 2000 and is the Grand Prize winner of the Art Association of the Philippines’ Open Art Competition (Painting, Non-Representational) in 1999. He is a graduate of the UP College of Fine Arts (1989) where he majored in Editorial Design and a recipient of the Freemen Fellowship Grant of the Vermont Studio Center, Vermont in 2000. He currently lives in Paranaque City.
